golf courses, the
Jefferson National Forest, bucolic winding country roads (including the
Blue Ridge Parkway), and is but 30 minutes from downtown
Roanoke. Roanoke offers theater, opera, shopping, and the downtown outdoor
Market, an area rich in interesting shops and artists.
